Quality vest, does exactly what I need it too. Its well built and full of pockets for all sorts of different items and bits of kit.
One down side is the 2 elastic open topped pouches on the back of the vest are tapered so what fits snuggly in the top will not slide to the bottom of the pouch unfortunately.

I have found the tactical vest practical and very useful for carrying all my operational equipment. It stows them away safely and the items are easy to access. It is easy to remove and to replace speedily if the needs arise. I would recommend the purchase for those in an operational role in particular and for general use.

I use this vest for many years, mainly for covert operations in the framework of police and security. is the second vest that I buy and I'm thrilled. The cotton fabric is very rugged and heavy, but at the same time is quite cool even in hot climates, its rear openings allow good ventilation in the back. numerous pockets allow you to stow a significant amount of material and the length of the vest adequately cover the weapon in the holster. The only care is to buy a size abundant, so that they can make proper use of all budgets, if the vest is too tight some pockets is not able to INDOOR USE. The value for money is very favorable, and these features are not found in competing brands.

Over the years the advent of the 'safari vest' has been well documented and they have become essential to photographers, fisherman and wannabe outdoor types.
Since the start of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan there has been a growing use of them by journalists, 'contractors' and others in the field.
Having tried more than a few over thye past ten years I was delighted to find the 5.11 model has obviously been the result of many, many 'feed backs' and designed for ease of use by the widest variety of users.EXTREMELY well made using reliable materials, the multiplicty of pockets and configurations, coupled with sizes up to 3XL effectively means that it can be worn OVER body armour with ease....
IT REALLY IS A DREAM garment - read the specifications and GIVE IT A TRY.... I REALLY would be lost without mine!

The magazine pockets fell apart on TWO vests - the stitching is poor. Not up to 511 standard. Thumb down!
