Rip Stop is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven rip-stop reinforcement threads in a cross hatch pattern. It's woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Rip-stop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing.
Bought these to use on my motorcycle in the summer, with a lightweight technical anti-abrasive legging underneath, so they need to be lightweight and allow maximum air flow. Also I always struggle to get trousers, especially motorcycle stuff, long enough.
I ordered these in a 32/36 for my 6'2" 11.5 stone frame and they are a perfect fit. Long enough to stay tucked in my DM boots seated on the bike, high waisted enough so my kidney area is kept covered, and very lightweight so hopefully when the summer is as hot as last year I'll be cool. I nearly always choose combat style trousers and my previous best had the kevlar weaved in, but the cut wasn't too generous when seated which always led to problems, but these seem much better, allowing a free range of movement, and plenty of room for all the bits and pieces that can end up getting squashed, and I find that so annoying.
So all round very pleased, have just ordered two more pairs in different colours.
Only downside is that they are slightly on the expensive side, but then again, quality doesn't come cheap, and these appear to be very well made with good stitching and double layers on the knees and bum.

Thank you guys for such a wonderful product! I've known that trousers for several years yet, I wear out a pair for a year or so, and I hunted for a new one for a few weeks, until I was lucky with your discounts - and I immediately bought it!
Happy.
Durable, rugged, functional (multiple pockets) and practical, and at same time convenient and comfy. With the exception of direct tactical training, security, etc., is also excellent for hiking or any other outdoor activity. I was not disappointed.

First off I was hesitant to buy these trousers as the picture for the black pair doesn't look very black but I'm happy to report that they are. I bought these as I work as a bouncer in a busy nightclub and I needed a pair of trousers that are both hard wearing and have enough pockets to store all the equipment I need to carry. These trousers fit both of those requirements perfectly. They are extremely comfortable and don't restrict movement in any way. They are a little bit more expensive than the other types of 5.11 Tactical trousers but in my opinion, they are more than worth it. I highly recommend buying these if you are looking for a pair of trousers that fit any of the above rerquirements.

5.11 Stryke pants are comfortable and hard wearing. I bought these having had some provided by work and I wanted another colour. Sometimes 5.11 sizes have been an issue previously with the trousers slightly tight and the tops quite baggy, but these trousers are spot on. I take a 34W and 32L and that is what they are. Recommended!
