5.11 Tactical TDU Ripstop Sun Shirt (Long Sleeve) has all the great features of the original 5.11 tactical shirt in cotton, but uses a lighter weight, more breathable fabric mix for use in summertime and warmer climates.
Good quality good at a very good price just what I would expect from 5.11/Nightgear combination.

A very well made shirt with plenty of pockets. The price was excellent. My only disappointment was that I had been expecting the poly cotton version whereas this one is one hundred % nylon. I know from experience that I tend to sweat a lot in the nylon version. The poly cotton one is much more comfortable in hot weather.
I had planned to buy several of the poly cotton variety . I found the description on the web page a little misleading.
I own several of the fully cotton variety and they are truly excellent shirts.

Excellent shirts and got them in the sale so very happy as was looking at them for a while. True to size for me - I'm usually a medium and medium fits well. 5" 10 81Kg and medium is perfect. They are well made and keep you cool. You can really feel the wind with the vent at the back. Heaps of pockets. I own three -enough said. Stick a vest under and they will be ideal for the cooler months. Buy this shirt you will be very happy with it.
Delivered on time with no problems as usual from Nightgear. Brilliant shirt and fantastic service.

Bought several of these shirts now after I'd tried one for size. Fortunately I was the size that was on sale but I'd buy at full price as I've worn them hot or cold, smart or casual and never had to iron them and they look fine still. Nylon comes out of the washing machine almost dry and if hand washing then it's still dry fairly quick, if somewhere hot/windy, even with only a gentle wringing out. Took two to southern Spain and wore them back to back untucked and sleeves rolled up in the day or properly with trousers for the evening. Could have left most of my other shirts behind. These have a mesh section inside the back which felt less sticky/cooler than a normal polycotton I also wore.

really like 511 kit, this garment I have found to be the best 511 shirt I have purchased recently. the fit (medium) is right for around 40"chest, and yes the sleeves hang right too, pockets very practical, and useful, NOT over bulky.
personally I like the light weight tough material, being quick to wash (machine wash cold), cool tumble. finishes O.K. real smart looking kit.

Seems like a lighter weight shirt than the standard shirt and a different fabric to standard and taclite. Time will tell but initial impression is a quality shirt that will be great for warmer climates. A steal at the sale price.

I bought this one sale and I'm very impressed by the fast delivery even though I live in the northern part of Norway. The product is very good. Lots of clever options and is perfect for outdoor activities. Although I'm 6'1" / 185cm I ordered medium and even that size is very generous around the chest and stomach. Length-wise it's a perfect fit both in torso and arms. But I would still buy medium over small next time.

Bought 1 and then another 1! Medium fits well, 44" inch chest. Can do up the top button whereas with Small, can just about can do the second button down and for me it would still be too constricting. The darker colours look neater. Generally no need to iron after hanging up on a hanger to dry. Be careful not to iron hot as I left an iron mark on mine - too hot for whatever they are coated with. Price is good compared to 5.11 other long sleeve shirts. As a mechanical engineer gives me a smart enough look without being afraid of the everyday grease, oil and dirt.

I ordered a size small for a 6ft tall, 12.75 stone frame, and the fit is snug but not restrictive in normal use. If I were any taller or any larger I would need to order a larger size. Build quality is excellent.
Flapped chest pockets are useful, though left flapped pocket is made smaller by pen slot. Document pockets are generously sized, and will hold a map, smartphone, snacks etc., but the Velcro does not fully seal the pockets so they are not suited for more precious items. Rear mesh vent allows some heat and vapour out. I would recommend this shirt for outdoor activities in all weather conditions.
