Similar to a bivvi tent the Exped Scout Combi Hammock is a camping experience for a single person but offers the advantages of being elevated from the ground as you would expect with a hammock style design but has the protection against the elements that come with the average tent for the best of both camping options. No-See-Um mosquito mesh and a ripstop polyester are used for the actual hammock section of this Exped Scout Combi as it makes it fairly durable while being light, yet still able to prevent insects from getting inside. The Exped Scout Combi Hammock also has a tarp that hangs over the top and is a higher denier taffeta nylon that is coated for plenty of waterproof protection and wind resistance.
