Lightweight clothing products are thin and provide very little or no cushioning and insulation. They are best used for high-intensity or warm-weather pursuits, or employed as part of a layering system.
These socks are very good although they will give out eventually, they are strong wearing as well as keeping feet reasonably cool in hot climates.

Excellent socks, very comfortable and seem to get more snug the more you walk!
I had my initials concerns, having worn boots I was used to the typical thick fuzzy socks, when I got the 5.11 Tactical 9 Inch socks, I was concerned as they were so thin! I slid them on and straight away you feel the texture difference. Leaving for work in the middle of a winter didn't help either, they initially feel a bit cold as you step outside, however within the first 10 minutes of walking they heat up and almost feel like they become more thick while you're going through your day. No nasty odours, no stressed feet, these things are great!

I bought 2 packs of these socks cause they had a good price. I never tried 5.11 products, but I have to say these socks are awesome. My feet sweat a lot and these socks manage to keep them cool and dry (Also depends on what boots you're wearing). They will also keep their proper fit meaning they don't slide down, they stay put. They are also long enough to wear any type of boots. Overall these socks are great and if you're in the army like me, they're much much better then the issued socks.
