These are hard working trousers bought 2 pairs ideal for working in the countryside of the U.K. . Second week I was in 20-30degree heat of north Florida helping out on estate .Quick drying especially after being in swamp edges and in boats .Trousers preformed well in heat kept cool in them and were working hard through thick cover .Washed again and still looking good for return journey back to U.K. .all in all an excellent trouser for any environment.

These tactical pants are better quality than I had expected and I had pretty high expectations. Hard wearing pure cotton material, great stitching and reinforcements where they are needed. Fit is on the baggy side for the size which makes them very comfortable and easy to move around in. Very happy indeed.

The 511 tactical cotton pants are great, I have used them since the '90s doing gardening as well as geological work. I love the double knees and all the pockets and they wash well.

Excellent product, been getting this make for 5 years and still wearing them - Velcro fastning is the only thing that "wears out"!! Price gone up, now, so not such good value BUT as excellent quality they don't "wear out" so pretty good value.

I discovered this brand when I was working in Iraq and, since then, I've become a loyal customer. The 5.11 pants are usually durable and very well designed (I bought so far something like 6 pairs, of different models). These ones are no exception. I have to say these last ones give me the impression to be slightly "lighter" than the previous ones I bought (of the same type), but it's probably only a wrong impression, because both are "tough 8.5-oz. cotton canvas" as stated on their official description. The fact they are cotton made is a plus, because it makes possible to wear them even with hot weather (artificial stuff like Polyester makes me sweat like a horse). Double and triple-stitch and YKK zips are also top class features of these pants. I use them as casual pants for my daily life and I like the way they look on me. The only flaw I found (but it's not really a flaw, just something that does not match my taste) is the waist: too high. A lower waist would be better, in my opinion.

The 5.11 tactical pant was exactly as described. The material looks to be very durable they are also very well made. The biggest plus point for myself was the fact that they are available with a 36" inseam as standard and not a special order.

very nice trousers, made from hard wearing material. the webbing band is a little odd, I understand its for clipping bits on when climbing, but lets face it the large majority of people don't need that so perhaps a version without could be offered. the small phone/knife pocket works well, its placed just right. I would of liked the double pocket system (one zipped one not) that 5.11 have on other models and even though the slopped rear pockets do offer good access I am not sure its needed or if I really like it, all in all very good with a few bits that for my use could be improved.

I've owned 3 pairs of these for years and they've lasted amazingly well. They're comfortable, a good fit, and hard-wearing. I've worn them camping, walking, working under the car, and for installation work and they have survived without a problem! Definitely worth the investment, I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a comfortable, hard-wearing pair of combats.

A great pair of pants, very durable and great for wear when doing heavy work. Thee only downside is on the back pockets with the stitching on the Velcro, as it pokes through causing an itch on the legs.

Hi These pants are really comfortable, and I enjoy wearing them every day, (I have about 5 Pairs now).My only request would be, that if it was possible to do something with the fastening on the rear pocket. The plastic of the Velcro fastening somehow manages to scratch and cause itching. At the moment I cut the fastening off to alleviate the problem.
